This image of the 5-day old Moon was taken by Bettina Forget by holding her Pentax Optio S40 digital camera over her telescope's eyepiece. Not a "picture of the month", but it gives a good impression of the Moon's major features at this phase. Taken at our first meeting on September 27, 2006
